6pm Friday, June 19/09, the RT local running crew, Run'around and Rainbow Run, escorted the Esprit de Corps team through the first 10km of their 617 km, 65hr, relay run to New York city. The Esprit de Corps crew, comprised of two trainers and 10 newby runners (who were introduced to running and started their training only weeks before the event!) arrived in Time Square by 11 pm, Monday June 22/09.
Great achievement guys! Keep up the training and you can laugh your way through this summers' beer & burger festivals!

Running Tourist is an amazingly fun and friendly concept! It gave me a great forum to meet other enthusiastic runners, especially those who were just as excited as I am about my cause, Hope Runs. The network that Heather and Running Tourist have set up helped me make new connections that will most definitely help with fundraising. However, the trip to Montreal was worth it just for the run along a beautiful route and great company from my fellow runners. Thanks Running Tourist!

I had always wanted to run a half marathon. After weeks of training with my good friend Kara -- we were ready. On race day, it wasn't about time or performance, it was about finishing the race and feeling good. I'll be the first to admit - it was hard - good thing Heather, from Montreal's Running Tourist, had come along for moral support! We did it, and I know we can do it again - Army half marathon here we come!

The concept is great, even for me, a non-tourist! I learned more about my city's history and had a beautiful run in Montreal's Old Port with an up-close view on some breath taking architecture. The runners were just as sweet as the bio-chocolate handed to us at the end of the 5K... Thanks Liquid Nutrition!  I wish Running Tourist the best of luck and great success.

After moving to Montreal 2 years ago, I thought I had a pretty good grasp of the city – it was really great to be shown I still have a lot to learn.  Heather and the guys at Running Tourist have such a fresh attitude to the whole ‘Tour Guide’ thing.  It was just as much a casual run with a soon-to-be-an-old-friend as a lead runner - a refreshing way to get to know a city.  Forget about the clichéd “here on the left we have…”, just be prepared to simply go for a run, learn a bit and have a chill fun time.  This is for a local or a tourist, a runner or not.  I will definitely go and check out their other routes!

I had a great time.  Great concept, cool people, beautiful city!  The running guides had interesting and informative information for every step of the run.  I learned a bunch, saw beautiful old Montreal, and got my sweat on!

I wish I had a running tour guide with me 24/7! These guys are awesome!
I'll be back this summer!
